Job Summary

As a UAS Manufacturing Technician, you will work within our production division to build out our UAS products from scratch to completion. You will work in a dynamic team setting with several other technicians. You will work with a variety of manufacturing tools and methods to construct the complex drone systems. These include, but are not limited to: electronics soldering, manual and CNC machining, 3D printing, plastic molding, and more. You will be expected to closely follow technical schematics and manufacturing manuals during the course of the production process. You will also be expected to conduct drone flights for testing and quality assurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Closely follow technical schematics, assembly instructions, and guidance from supervisors in order to construct drone systems from scratch to completion
• Electronics soldering
• 3D printing
• Manual machining
• Manufacturing and assembly of physical structures/components
• Manufacturing and assembly of PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards)
• Conducting UAS (drone) flights for testing and quality assurance
• Electronics soldering

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with the ability to understand and construct electromechanical systems

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical assembly instructions

• Computer literacy; use of Microsoft office suite, CRMs, Google Suite, Gmail, and other office admin programs will be required

• Preferred: previous experience in manufacturing role

• Preferred: professional, academic, or personal experience in drone technology

• No higher education required

• Ability to work 35-40 hours per week. There is little room for error when building large (100+ lb.) machines that fly and carry chemicals. Small mistakes during assembly can lead to catastrophic consequences. We need someone to help us assembly UAS (drones) up to a high standard of quality, with great attention to detail, and a goal oriented mindset.
