We can fly for 50 minutes on a single charge.
Our max payload is 8 lbs for short distances. We can deliver 4 lb payloads up to 7 miles.
Our drones are water resistant and have been tested in 25+ mile per hour winds.
Our system contains a number of safety features that make it extremely safe to use.
- Sophisticated pre-flight diagnostics. The drones will not takeoff unless all systems are in perfect working order. The drones will also refuse takeoff if the battery life, payload size, and delivery distance are out of operational bounds.
- Active flight monitoring. The drone actively monitors itself during flight and will automatically return to home if a problem is detected.
Hylio drones have a detailed internal map of surroundings which are used to navigate around tall objects. They also have built-in geofences around city centers and airports and will automatically route around them.
Yes! Transportation of property for compensation or hire is ALLOWED. The FAA guidelines on delivery are listed here.
The flight must be within visual line of sight of the operator.
The operator cannot be in a moving vehicle or aircraft during the flight.
You cannot fly above any persons not directly participating in the delivery.
You must fly during daytime – or civil twilight (30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset)
No FPV cameras or other types of technology does NOT qualify for visual-line of sight (VLOS)
You must use your physical eyes to observe the flight!
A visual observer can assist the Remote Pilot in Command, however, the UAS must remain within VLOS of both the Remote Pilot in Command AND the visual observer at all times.
